Making a Difference, One Step at a Time!
The "Shop Local" campaign started with one guy “Dennis Schaefer” owner of Creative Wood Products who had a idea to rally the community together and remind people to “Look Local” first.
The overall message behind the “march”: at the very least, give your local businesses a chance by comparing prices. If the price is higher, then you can make your decision. More times than not, you will find that the best bang for your buck right in your own backyard. People have asked us “how can I make a difference”? This “march” was a simple, inexpensive way to show support and by looking local and shopping local, you will make a big impact!
Many businesses helped make this event possible including, Creative Wood Products, Douglas Water Conditioning, ABC 12, CK 105, McIntyre Soft Water, and Uncle Ray’s Dairyland.
